As the holidays can get so expensive, I haven't been buying much fabric lately. I did allow myself this one little indulgence since I had been waiting patiently for it...
A rainbow of Pearl Bracelets by Lizzie House. Heaven.
It is so nice when the fabric manufacturers respond to the desires of the customers.
These prints have appeared in several of Lizzie's collections and have been so popular, it is only
fitting that Andover would put out a collection of just the pearls!! A wonderful stash
builder for a modern quilter!
They are also available in a lighter palette if that is your thing, but for now, these will do me just fine!
I also had to have some of this cute bicycle print and the red tulip companion.
(Cruzin' by Barbara Jones for Henry Glass Co.)
Have you noticed bicycle prints are everywhere?!?
I liked this one in particular because of the happy colors.
Can't you see a bunch of fussy cut bicycles in a fun, summery quilt?
The Creative Process is an interesting thing. It ebbs and it flows. Sometimes I can sew for days on end and other times I sit there staring at piles of fabric and no great ideas come to mind (I call this quilter's block - pun intended). Buying new fabrics are part of the process.
New fabrics equal new possibilities and new ideas, and are an essential part of the process.
The excitement over lovely materials keeps the creative juices flowing.
I therefore give myself permission to buy as much fabric as I need to.
There, I said it.
I feel better already!!

Beautiful pics - as always!
ReplyDeleteI too have been hanging out to get my hands on some pearl bracelets. There is just something about them. Lovely to see their pic on the links today.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures - You have great taste in fabric....I have been looking at the pearl bracelets bundle as well and I have the fat quarter bundles for Cruzin' in both colors ;-)
